Ramadan Mubarak!

Greetings!

Wabi Sabi

Do you know what wabi sabi means? It's a Japanese view of beauty where imperfections are valued and impermanence is welcomed. Ask your third grader for an example of wabi sabi.

Wabi Sabi is also a beautiful book that displays the Japanese style of poetry called haiku. Reading Wabi Sabi inspired our writers.

Maker Space Cadets

We're busy applying our understanding of simple machines in intricate attempts to pop balloons. Stay tuned...

Good Idea Basket

This water basket was created by our thoughtful assistants to conveniently help kids stay hydrated while playing.

If your child plans to fast during Ramadan, please confirm your approval with me so we can discuss outdoor activities. Until we talk, I have to respect the word of the child.

As one haiku expressed, a typical day in third grade, with recess and PE, can be difficult in Mali's heat.

Seriously, hydration during these events or sitting out of play time needs to be discussed, so please be in touch.

Ramadan Mubarak!
