We're up and running with Seesaw! This week, we learned a lot about how the platform functions. Next week, the kids will do more of their own posting, so give us a couple weeks to get Seesaw savvy. So far so good.
DIY
We learned about water filtration by making water filters with charcoal, sand, grass, and stones.

The filters worked! even if the water was not immediately potable.
100th Day of School
Most of you saw in Seesaw how the kids had lots of fun interactions with number 100.
IXL
We're busy learning how and when to use division. Suggested IXL Math practice this week is section L.5 and L.7. For language arts, the kids read to discern an author's purpose. IXL Language Arts section B.2 would further exercise this skill.
Assembly
Third grade will host an ES assembly this Thursday morning from 7:30 to about 7:50 A.M. Our theme is water, of course. If you can't come by, look for images or video on Seesaw.
That's it for this week's blog.
Enjoy your weekend,
Don
